The design of the phone is something that immediately catches the eye, particularly if you see the phone face down. On one half of the back cover, there are ridges going from the camera cluster all the way down to the bottom of the phone. If you’re using it a lot and have lots of apps, photos, and videos you want to save, you’re better off going for the more expensive option.
The chipset of the 10R is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max, a clear upgrade over the Dimensity 8000 we saw in previous phones. It boasts 20% more GPU frequency and 25% better CPU power efficiency than its predecessor, meaning it can easily handle anything you throw at it. One slightly disappointing area is its operating system, as it’s powered by Oxygen OS 12.1 – an OS often maligned for its poor text scaling and notification system.
The camera configuration on the back of the phone is a triple camera setup. It has a 50MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. While this may not be cutting edge, it’s more than enough to take high-quality photos. It’s also capable of capturing high-quality videos, as you can shoot 4K videos at 30FPS and 1080p videos at 30, 60, and 120FPS. The selfie camera is a 16MP wide lens and can shoot 1080p videos at 30FPS.
