The passes of each The International Dota 2 tournament are a great success on the part of the game since such activities greatly involve fans and build loyalty among Valve’s community. This year, Valve has added a new cosmetic to support players and teams attending TI11 and battling it out for the Aegis of Champions at SunTec Singapore and Singapore Indoor Stadium, respectively.
Therefore, commencing on September 20, Dota 2 players can find Autograph Sticker Capsules for the top 12 teams from the initial reveal of 2022 DPC events. The other six who won the regional qualifier, as well as the attendees of the Last Chance Qualifier, will be added next week to the all-new Sticker Store.
While today’s focus is squarely around the 2022 Dota 2 battle pass, TI11 section is only one part of the site at https://dota-bet.com/. This platform is the source for all DPC action, including the regional qualifiers and the LCQ events. The latter will take place from 8th to 12th October, with the 12 best teams competing for the two spots at TI this year.
Below, we want to take a closer look at how Dota 2 fans can support their favorite teams and players by purchasing autographs in the all-new Sticker Store.
Command Stickers from Battle Pass 2022
In Battle Pass 2022 at The International 2022, Valve replaced the autographs familiar to all Dota 2 players with stickers. Similarly to CS:GO, this feature uses the capsule system in which team and player autograph stickers can be placed on specific heroes and your profile for others to see. While the autograph is permanent, the chat wheel line is usable until TI11 itself. So, don’t miss out to support your favorite teams and players by purchasing their stickers.
How to Buy
Stickers capsules can be obtained from the Battle Pass or purchased for money on the Steam Community Market. By opening the capsule, you will receive one sticker of random quality: regular, shiny, holographic, or gold. All Stickers bought from the Sticker Store are tradeable, while additional Sticker Capsules are available to owners of the battle pass – at the levels 1, 150, and 300 to start.
How to Use
As for using Stickers of The International participants, players can fill out their Collection and get additional bonus points for the battle pass. In addition, player stickers can be placed on specific heroes, much like stickers on weapons in CS:GO. This will be viewable on the Versus and Top Players screen during Dota 2 matches.
Sticker Collection and Team Row
As we have mentioned earlier, Battle Pass holders can get additional bonus points by collecting stickers from one team (5 players + emblem). The Collection will act as a digital binder for players who want to have all of the available autographs for squads.
In total, in this way, you can collect up to 16 levels for completing one, five, ten, or all thirty teams, while also setting a favorite Team Row that will be viewable on your profile page. By filling in 30 such rows, you can receive up to 7,000 Battle Pass points, as follows below:
- 1 row of stickers – 1,000 Battle Pass points;
- 5 rows of stickers – 3,000 Battle Pass points;
- 10 rows of stickers – 5,000 Battle Pass points;
- 30 rows of stickers – 7,000 Battle Pass points.
The Importance of Stickers for the Dota 2 Scene
The market for stickers is not only an attraction for fans, it is also one of the main pillars for the development of the Dota 2 competitive scene. According to the statement, over the last six months organizations, teams, and players have benefited from more than 2 million dollars with the Supporters Club introduced during the regular DPC season.
While Valve generates a lot of money with Stickers for sale in the Steam market, players and teams that have their signatures and shields within the video game get a significant economic income with each transaction respectively. According to Valve, 50% of this product revenue purchased from the Dota 2 store will go to support the teams included in the capsule.
