Job shadowing with a play by play announcer
While you’re still in college, job shadowing is an excellent opportunity to get a firsthand look at the profession you’re interested in. Not only will it give you an idea of what the field involves, but it will also show you what skills you need to build and learn. This can help you make an informed decision about your career path and prevent you from wasting time and money.
Depending on where you are shadowing, your shadowing experience can be anywhere from a few hours to several weeks. To get the most out of the experience, prepare by doing research online and through Handshake. You’ll also need to be prepared to write down your observations and questions as you go along. Once you’ve completed your shadowing experience, be sure to send your mentor a thank-you note, and keep the lines of communication open.
